Professional Summary

Bridget Leak (Director) is a Cincinnati-based theatre director. Productions include; Actually at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (where she has previously directed for the Playhouse's Off-the-Hill Series), Maytag Virgin, Queen (Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati) Reconstruction (Lincoln Center), and Night of the Living Deepwater Horizon (ANT Fest, Ars Nova). Her production Slut Shaming - commissioned by NYC's The Culture Project  -  was produced by Xavier University in coordination with their TITLE IX office and was awarded the Ignatian Medal for Outstanding Commitment to Diversity and Social Justice. She was featured in American Theatre Magazine and had her work highlighted in Teaching Theatre magazine, a publication of EdTA. Previous honors include; People’s Liberty Grant Recipient, Cincinnati Art Ambassador Fellowship, SDC Denham Fellow, Lincoln Center Directors Lab alum, Artist in Residence at Robert Wilson's The Watermill Center, Directing Fellow at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, a Sir Gielgud Fellowship finalist and a S.D.C.F Observer (Cleveland Play House and Round House Theatre). Bridget teaches at Xavier University and CCM and has directed at Xavier, CCM, and Miami University. Her theatre company was twice an Artist in Residence at the James Madison University School of Theatre and Dance. Bridget has her M.F.A. in Directing from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University and is a member of SDC.
