James E Lockey

My research interests include health effects of exposure to man made vitreous fibers, metal working fluids and the association with asthma and hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and occupational causes of bronchiolitis obliterans. This research aims to investigate and characterize the pulmonary inflammatory processes in the pathogenesis of pulmonary disorders related to exposure to refractory ceramic fiber, a class of man made vitreous fibers. Additional research interests are solvent exposures as they relate to autoimmune disorders and potential adverse reproductive effects, and breath analysis of solvents as a measure of internal dose.
