Professional Summary

As a Jr. Research Associate, Keren Mabisi leads and serves as a co-lead for various evaluation and research projects at the Evaluation Services Center (ESC). She also serves as the supervisor for the graduate research assistants at the center. Methodologically, she is trained in both qualitative and quantitative research design, survey development, data collection and management, analyses, and results dissemination to both academic and non-academic audiences. Her areas of evaluation experience include worker safety training, youth work and health programs, community health and literacy, and information technology school programs. In addition, her evaluation portfolio includes several projects funded through National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), National Institute of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA), as well as community groups.

Research and Practice Interests

My areas of research interest involve the intersection of culture and gender in regards to the exposure of women to HIV. I also have interests in afro-feminism and deconstructing institutionalized practices that could play a role in the health of women and families.
