Professional Summary
Jorge J. Maldonado is a first year Ancient History PhD student. He received his BA in History at Rutgers University-Newark in the fall of 2020. He also completed a post-baccalaureate in ancient Greek and Latin in Rutgers University-New Brunswick in the spring of 2023. Following this, he completed his MA in Classics from Rutgers University-New Brunswick in spring of 2025. Jorge also worked at the Institute for Advanced Studies for the Krateros Project in charge of the categorization, translation and digitization of ancient Greek epigraphical squeezes from 2021 to 2022. He has an interest in ancient Greek epigraphy, ranging from the Classical to the Hellenistic era, and how these inscriptions can inform our understanding of the socio-political aspects of ancient Greece and the greater mediterranean.
