Mary McCarty , MD

Mary McCarthy: A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Mary McCarthy conducted research with Charles Mehlman, DO, for two years on the measurement of spondylolisthesis. Her undergraduate degree is a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans. She spent a year at Boston University after Hurricane Katrina struck midway through her undergraduate training. She received many awards as an undergraduate and also participated in research, including a project to design an easel for an artist with physical handicaps. Her many experiences in research resulted in three publications, an oral presentation and an abstract. Her hobbies include the Indianapolis 500, figure skating and camping. She also served as an emergency medical technician for three years.
