Professional Summary
Personal Statement
As I reflect on my experiences, the most meaningful moments have either been at the bedside, caring for patients, or in the classroom, teaching students. These experiences have motivated me to keep learning, to apply what I know, and to share it with others. At the University of Cincinnati’s Internal Medicine residency program, I hope to continue growing in both of these spaces. I’ve also come to value being intentional in how I learn, recognizing that growth isn’t always linear. And on the days when the path feels overwhelming, I return to my mom’s simple but grounding advice: “Take it one day at a time.” It’s a quiet truth that has anchored me, reminding me that even the hardest days eventually give way to easier ones.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
I was looking for a program that would genuinely support my growth and learning while offering a wide range of opportunities, especially in medical education and mentorship. Everything about the program, from their website to my interview day, reflected exactly that. During my interview, it honestly felt like there was nothing I couldn’t pursue there. Of course, moving away from home is never easy, but the kindness and support I felt from everyone made me feel like the transition would be a lot smoother. And being just a few hours from Chicago, where my best friend and family are, was a huge bonus!
