Nicholas (Nick) Minton (4232A Clifton Court Hall) is a master's student in Germanic Languages & Literature at the University of Cincinnati. He graduated from Centre College with a B.A. in Anthropology/Sociology and German Studies. His current research titled "From Inviting In to Coming Out: Serving Identity, Chosen Family, and Queer Artistry" investigates the Ballroom Community, a LGBTQ+ sub-culture, and its transnational connections between the United States and Germany. The project aims to understand how "Germanness" and other identities are redefined and expressed through Ballroom culture in Germany. Nick's other scholarly interests include German colonial impact on pastoralism in Namibia, Waldorf pedagogy & Eurythmy, and digital anthropology.
