Finally, I appreciate that radiologists can do impactful work, even without formal recognition or patient appreciation. I was taught and believed that you do the work not for recognition or praise but because the work deserves or needs to be done. I admire the radiologists and residents I was fortunate enough to work with who will pour their time into a challenging scan for the sake of a patient they have not met. I view this part of the specialty as a reflection of radiologists' commitment to medicine and quality of care. As a future Radiologist, I look forward to joining and studying this expanding and innovative field that connects all points of medicine.
