Dr. Pounders enjoys evaluating patients with chronic concerns in the outpatient setting as well as those with more acute neurologic processes as an inpatient consultant. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Pounders is a passionate educator and investigator. He completed his Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where he was named a "Top Performing Clinician" by the Office of Patient Experience and collaborated on projects investigating synucleinopathies, cerebral small vessel disease, and anti-amyloid therapies for patients living with Alzheimer's Disease. He completed his Neurology Residency at the University of Cincinnati, where he served as a chief resident and was selected as Resident Teacher of the Year.
