Dr. Maria Proffitt was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from University of Cincinnati with her bachelor's degree in chemistry in the fall of 2019. In 2023, she graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. Maria has worked in community pharmacy for almost 7 years and also worked in hospital pharmacy during pharmacy school. Her passion for the community makes her excited to be a PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Resident with Kroger Health. She hopes to educate patients on how their pharmacist can be an important resource and expand the practice of pharmacy. In her free time Maria enjoys running, hanging out with friends and family, and traveling.
