Andrei Olegovich Prokhorov

Asst Professor - Visiting

Professional Summary

I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in 2019 under the guidance of Alexander Its. Prior to joining UC, I spent five enriching years as a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, working closely with Peter Miller and Jinho Baik, and one year as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago working with Promit Ghosal.

My research lies at the intersection of asymptotic analysis, integrable systems, and probability. I’m particularly interested in Riemann-Hilbert problems, Painlevé equations, random matrices, and more recently, probabilistic approaches to conformal field theory.
