Michelle E. Protas is a Ph.D. student in the School of Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati. Her research interests include victimization, cybercrime, and crime prevention. Besides having worked on multiple government contracts and grant-funded projects, Michelle (and Professor Brittany E. Hayes) has published a cross-national examination of individual-level, community-level, and national-level predictors of child marriage and their association with physical and emotional intimate partner violence in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence.
