Professional Summary
Personal Statement
Every Sunday, I would sit and set small, achievable fitness goals for the upcoming week. Starting small and progressing with intention, over time I began to master the art of self-discipline and consistency, traits that I continue to apply in my medical career. Seeing the results over the years, my confidence in myself has grown. Whether it is a new strength goal or a challenging shelf exam that I need to take, I can trust myself to achieve any goal if I set myself up for success and stay consistent. Knowing that there is always more information out there, my research and learning have not stopped. I find myself constantly in the pursuit of the science of why we are doing what we are doing. This is also the reason why I am passionate about Internal Medicine – the core of all medicine. I believe my curious nature and the diversity that Internal Medicine offers blend perfectly together. I aspire to be a well-rounded physician, someone who is always looking to be better, one day at a time.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
What stood out to me the most about the University of Cincinnati during my interview day were the program’s deeply rooted values. I was particularly inspired by the emphasis on not just growing as a physician, but as a human being every single day — a message that came through clearly in conversations with both faculty and residents. This philosophy strongly resonated with my own core values, and I knew I would thrive in this type of environment. Moreover, the harmony between the residents during the meet-and-greet was unparalleled. Their genuine support for one another and the positive, inclusive culture they described felt truly authentic. To top everything off, the program’s strong focus on resident education also reaffirmed my belief that I will receive excellent training that will prepare me well for any future path I choose.
