Professional Summary

Initially appointed in September 1985, Dr. Robert Russell is now an associate professor of Art Education in the Department of Art Education, School of Art, serving as Department Chair and Licensure Advisor. Dr. Russell's current research explores social and emotional learning (SEL) in art education. He recently received a grant for study of student discipline to advance his research and to augment a course he teaches "Influencing Student Behavior in the Art Classroom." In the area of community service, Dr. Russell is a board member of Trinity Lutheran Seminary, in Columbus, Ohio.
