Graduate Assistant

Professional Summary

Amirhosein Sarchami is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Cincinnati and a member of the UC Lab for Interfacial Dynamics (UCLID). He received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Azad University–Tehran in 2019 and his MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Azad University–Science and Research in 2022.
His research focuses on the fundamental physics of liquid–vapor phase change, with particular emphasis on evaporation dynamics and interfacial transport phenomena. His work aims to bridge continuum-scale observations with molecular-level mechanisms to better understand heat and mass transfer across liquid–vapor interfaces. He also works on active capillary pressure control in various systems, including bubbles, droplets, and capillaries.
His research interests include phase-change heat transfer, interfacial science, transport phenomena, multiphase systems, and thermal management systems. He is particularly interested in developing physically grounded models that connect experimental observations with fundamental theory.
