Professional Summary

Personal Statement
What truly solidified my passion for internal medicine were the patient connections. One woman admitted with complications of diabetes had spent the past year caring for her husband and neglecting her own health. Taking the time to sit with her, answering her questions, and empower her with education showed me the profound impact that presence and advisement can have on a patient. This experience reinforced my longstanding belief in the importance of teaching and guidance, a principle I carried into my sub internships when mentoring clerkship students. Just as I once mentored younger teammates on the basketball court, I found the same purpose by helping students refine their presentations and connect pathophysiology to clinical symptoms. Teaching sharpened my own understanding and reinforced the collaborative learning environment I hope to foster throughout my career

Why I Chose Cincinnati
I was drawn to Cincinnati because of its exceptional opportunities in medical education and the strong emphasis on mentorship and academic growth within the program. As someone interested in a future in medical education, I felt Cincinnati offered an ideal environment to continue developing as both a physician and teacher. The city itself is a welcoming Midwestern community with a distinct culture, character, and landscape that make it a great place to live and train.
