Professional Summary

Ali is a first-year PhD student in Classical Archaeology at the University of Cincinnati. She graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University with a BA in Classical Studies and Anthropology and a minor in History. Her research interests center on urbanization in the Roman world, focusing on how marginalized and sub-elite groups experienced and shaped city life, from everyday spaces to funerary landscapes. She has excavated with Tulane University’s Pompeii I.14 Project and is a team member of the Tharros Archaeological Research Project in Sardinia with the University of Cincinnati.
