Professional Summary

Carrie Solomon has been involved with the Occupational Therapy program since 2018. Supporting the program as an adjunct assistant professor for several years, Carrie moved into a full-time faculty position as the Doctoral Capstone Coordinator in 2023. Carrie's clinical work has focused predominantly in adult neurology and oncology rehabilitation and she continues to support these populations through involvement with community-based programs. Carrie has a particular passion for innovative areas of occupational therapy, culturally responsive care, and holistic interventions to maximise purposeful engagement. Recent areas of study include: photovoice as a community-based intervention to provide meaningful connection, purposeful engagement, and process grief and trama; and the exploration of how infertility affects roles, relationships, and occupations. Evolving areas of focus include the student experience and value for community partnerships related to the doctoral capstone experience in occupational therapy.
