Professional Summary

Dr. Michael Sostok is the Assistant Dean for Medical Education, Medical Director of The UC Simulation Center and Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.  He received his MD degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA in 1984.  Dr. Sostok is a recognized leader in the area of medical education.  He has published and presented internationally on a variety of medical education topics including ambulatory medical education, faculty teaching skills development, clinical skills development and assessment of students and residents, and most recently, the use of simulation in health care education.  His passion for innovative teaching has been recognized by the UC College of Medicine with the Silver Apple Teaching Award, The Faculty Achievement Award and The Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching.  In his free time, Dr. Sostok enjoys time with his family, local community service and international mission trips with his daughter.
