Professional Summary

Personal Statement
Growing up, education and communication were at the forefront of every experience. While my family is not heavily involved with the medical field, my grandfather was a county superintendent of schools, and my grandmother a guidance counselor and English teacher. Their love for teaching—and learning—is what inspires me to continue to pursue education in the medical field. Their passion has shaped how I see the responsibilities of an internal medicine physician, and I hope to continue their legacy by working in education at the medical student, resident, fellow, or colleague level in my career.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
I chose Cincinnati because the strength of their community was evident immediately on interview day. Everyone was friendly, warm, and interested in our conversation. In addition, the programs stated goals of developing a growth mindset in its residents spoke to me due to my interest in medical education. Overall, I enjoyed every interaction I had with faculty and residents, felt that the program aligned with views on patient centered care, and want to develop a growth mindset in a supportive community.
