Professional Summary

Personal Statement
I recognize that patients' challenges often surpass the simplicity of a mere diagnosis, and I am committed to thoroughly considering their experiences. As an aspiring internist with a focus on gastroenterology, my goal is to cultivate a welcoming environment for my patients, advocate for them when needed, and prioritize preventive care to enhance their well-being. I aim to engage in conversations with my patients that validate their emotions and provide them with a platform to express themselves. Throughout my residency in internal medicine, I will continue to work closely with patients, ensuring they maintain agency over their health. I am dedicated to implementing sustainable changes and pursuing long-term objectives that will profoundly impact my patients' lives.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
The genuine connections I established with the program's objectives and residents during my interview day significantly influenced my decision to choose the University of Cincinnati for my internal medicine residency. With a passion for medical education, I was drawn to UC's distinctive focus on MedEd, which allows me to build upon my past experiences and incorporate educating others into my practice. The individualized support from UC's faculty ensures that I'll be well-prepared to pursue a fellowship in gastroenterology in the future. Additionally, my partner and I are thrilled to have both matched at Cincinnati, eagerly anticipating the opportunities for growth and success ahead!
