Professional Background: Stephanie Sweeney is a Community Development Consultant, pursuing her PhD in Regional Planning at the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning (DAAP).

Certifications:  Stephanie Sweeney & Associates has been designated as a WBE, woman-owned business in the state of Kentucky. I am also a certified Community Development Block Grant program administrator in the State of Kentucky. I am a non-traditional student, having completed my Masters in Community Planning at the University of Cincinnati in 2003 at the age of 42, and am back to complete my Academic Journey. 

Research and Practice Interests

Research Interest: Housing Policy, and Implementation of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit
 
Dissertation Topic: Housing Policy in the United States (US), specifically, the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC) and its implementation. The US LIHTC has now been replicated in other nations such as Australia, the UK, Sweden, Hong Kong, Italy and New Zealand.
