Professional Summary

I have a broad background in exposure science, risk assessment, chemistry and material sciences and analytics. Furthermore, I have a specific training, experience and expertise in health and safety issues and chemical exposure both, nationally and internationally. My latest research in academic and industrial settings has been associated with chemical risks, material technologies (surface studies) and analytics. As a PI on several federal- and industrially funded projects, I laid the groundwork for the R&D activities by developing analytical methods for biological and destructible (non-metal) sampling using XPS, TEM and SEM/EDS, by developing experimental approaches (sampling and analyses) and obtained data that can be used in regulatory environment. Also, I developed effective metrics to assess health and safety as well as exposure to chemical hazards especially in oil and gas and construction industry. In addition, I successfully participated and led business development activities for my industrial clients and effectively administered the projects, included but not limited to talent recruiting and retaining, budgeting and project management. Furthermore, I collaborated with academic and governmental partners from Europe, Australia, Asia and the US and produced several peer-reviewed high impact publications for each project.
