Professional Summary
Professor Thomas Wagner holds graduate degrees in urban education and American history from the University of Cincinnati and Miami University. He has undertaken postgraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati Law School, Yale School of Organization and Management, Harvard University Institute for Educational Management, and University of Wales. He participated in the Fulbright US-German Administrators program and served as a visiting scholar at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Professor Wagner has primary instructional responsibility for undergraduate and graduate courses related to professional values and ethical issues, conflict resolution and mediation, organization theory, citizen involvement, and social planning. His primary research activity is a collaborative study of Appalachian migrant groups and organizations in several Midwest cities. His other research interests include citizen involvement in planning, the clean up of Department of Energy nuclear facilities, and the emerging concept of citizen participation in Thailand. Professor Wagner has extensive administrative experience having served a variety of central administration positions at the University of Cincinnati including Vice President for Student Affairs and Services and Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs.
