Mariam Wang is an instructor in the Asian Studies program at the University of Cincinnati. She has taught classes in Chinese Culture, Korean Culture, Japanese Culture, Asian Films, International Relations of East Asia, Regional Politics, Nationalism and Identity Politics, Political Economy, Comparative Politics, and Basic Chinese at the University of Cincinnati. Mariam is bilingual and fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Mariam has been actively involved in community service. She has served multiple terms as a member of the Advisory Board of the Ignite Institute, a STEAM-focused high school in Erlanger, KY. Through her tenure, she has been heavily involved in the Ignite Institute's Dual Credits programs. In addition, she has served as the Boone County Superintendent’s District Ambassador and as a Community Service and School District SBDM member.

Before studying and teaching at the University of Cincinnati, Mariam had product and project management experience in strategic finance, marketing consulting, and corporate contract negotiation for Fortune 500 clients.
