Professional Summary

Personal Statement
Since the start of my medical education, I have found that my interests within medicine have only grown. I discovered that I enjoy topics ranging from primary care management of diabetes to complicated oncological diagnoses. This knowledge about myself has made me realize that Internal Medicine is the right fit for me. It not only complements my personality, as I am a person who loves to learn for the sake of learning, but it also gives me the time and opportunity to find my own space within its diverse field. Some of my favorite attending that I admired and had the pleasure to work with were in Internal Medicine. Their dedication to training me while also attending to the care of their patients was incredibly inspiring. I fondly remember my first attending in third year IM clerkship who sat down with me on day one to go over the process of pre-rounding and presenting patients. This instruction helped me feel more confident in my clinical abilities and became one of my best two weeks of growth and learning in my third year of medical school. I am excited about my career in Internal Medicine and what that future holds.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
I was struck right away on interview day by the passion and dedication faculty and staff had toward educating residents. I felt that being at UC would develop me into a great Internal Medicine physician!
