Professional Summary

Personal Statement
Growing up in a truck driving family, I have been able to see how the journey through medical training is a lot like a long-haul road trip. Both demand extensive planning and preparation. There are malfunctions that require maintenance, and unplanned detours that make you find an alternate course. There are storms and rough roads that must be overcome. There are long days, deadlines that must be met, and times you need to ask for directions. Along the way though, are lessons learned and wisdom gained, unexpected beauty and experiences that take your breath away. People traveling on the same road, that you learn from and form lasting friendships with. Most importantly of all, there is joy in what you are doing and hope for what awaits around the next turn.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
I was very impressed with the quality of training at UC after spending time as an acting intern during my fourth year of medical school. I was exposed to a broad range of clinical situations and worked alongside incredible residents and faculty members who exemplified how I hope to care for patients. Ultimately, it was Cincinnati’s commitment to the Growth Mindset, innovation in medical education, and patient-centered approach to care that made it the place where I wanted to continue my medical training.
