Professional Summary

Dr. Wilson has taught at the University of Cincinnati for the past 36 years, predominantly on the graduate level. Her primary focus is Psychiatric nursing with specialty areas in burn and trauma, homelessness and forensic nursing. In 1995 she developed and opened, with the College of Nursing, a nurse managed clinic called the Health Resource Center of Cincinnati, Inc and functioned as the CEO for 12 years whille maintaining a full faculty workload. In 2004 she was inducted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. In 2007 she retired as CEO of HRC and assumed the position of Coordinator of the Psychiatric NP/CNS specialty. This coordination involved developing the curriculum for the new NP/CNS graduate program and dealing with the admissions of students who chose on site learning as well as distance learning. She submitted her papers for retirement in September, 2010 and will officially end her CON career on June 30, 2011.
