Dr. Krista E. Wood is a Professor of Physics in the Department of Mathematics, Physics, & Computer Science at UC Blue Ash College. Prior to coming to the University of Cincinnati, she taught high school physics at Mariemont High School for a year and worked as an engineer in the automotive industry for a decade. She later earned her PhD focusing on Physics Education Research. Her research interests include student development of scientific reasoning, as well as the effects of research-based instructional strategies on student learning in physics. She received UC Blue Ash Distinguished Teaching Award (2022), was inducted into UC's Academy of Fellows for Teaching and Learning (2017), is a graduate of UC Women Lead (2017), an eLearning Champion (2016) and a certified Quality Matters Peer Reviewer (2018).
