Professional Summary

McCrystle Wood is a professor in the School of Design who has been with the University since 1982. She served as Associate Dean for Academic, Faculty Affairs, and Technology during 1996-00, and in 2001-02 as Associate Dean for Research, Technology and Facilities. Prior to her first term as associate dean, she served for several years as Associate Director of the School of Design and concurrently as coordinator of the Foundation Studies Program. In 1989-90 she served as acting director of the School of Design. She received the B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington. Her fine arts work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and is included in more than 40 public collections, including American Data Processing, Atlantic Richfield Corporation, Ethicon, Hyatt Hotels, Johnson and Johnson, Prudential, and the Cincinnati Art Museum. Since 1997 her work has been shown at the 5th Biennale of Graphics-98, Skalingrad-Kenigsberg, Russia; CADE European Conference on Art and Design Education, University of Derby, England; Imprinta 97, Dusseldorf, Germany; and the SIGGRAPH International Electronic Art Exhibition, Los Angeles, California. Professor Wood teaches in the School of Design's Foundation Studies and Digital Design programs.
