Professional Summary

Mel Woods is a program manager in the Medical Laboratory Science program. Her experience in higher education includes work at the University of Central Florida, Northern Kentucky University, Daytona College and Seminole College in admissions, advising, academic affairs, online instruction, instructional design, enrollment management, planning and assessment, regional campuses, and faculty/staff development and training. She has taught courses in Womens and Gender Studies, women and leadership, technical and professional writing, composition and college first-year success. She is a course facilitator in the BS MLS Online program. Previously, Mel worked in the clinical laboratory and holds board certification as an MLT (ASCP) and as a Florida state licensed Medical Technologist (MT). She's passionate about helping students achieve their educational and career goals.
