Chenxing Xie is an Assistant Professor of Professional Writing in the English Department at the University of Cincinnati. She joined the department in 2024 and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Design and Web Design. Her research interests include transcultural health risk communication, information design and architecture, and digital rhetoric of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence. She has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles published in the Journal of Rhetoric, Profession Communication, and Globalization, International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, and Asian Journal of Communication, as well as conference proceedings in ACM Special Interest Group on the Design of Communication (SIGDOC) and IEEE Professional Communication (ProComm). Her work has won First Place in the Student Research Competition at the 40th ACM SIGDOC. She received her Ph.D. degree in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media from North Carolina State University.
