Professional Summary

I have been a Registered Nurse since 1984 and a practicing Certified Nurse Midwife since 1999. I obtained my BSN from the University of South Carolina, an MSN in Nurse Midwifery from the University of Cincinnati, and DNP from Vanderbilt University.  My clinical work has focused on underserved populations of women with maternal-child health disparities and exposure to trauma and violence. My clinical research focus is on the Identification of Human Trafficking Victims in the Clinical Setting and Violence Against Women with the overarching goal of trauma prevention.
